CRAFTS HOUSE

Condominiums on the Downtown Peninsula off Queen Street

Crafts House Condominiums
67 Legare Street in Charleston SC 29401

Spacious outdoor gardens within the gated compound, parking next to the front entry, and dogs are welcome. This old school converted into condos with flair. Original oak flooring in the hallways with inordinately high ceilings gives feeling of well-being inside.

The Crafts House at 67 Legare Street was originally home to a free school for children founded by antebellum Charleston lawyer, poet and philanthropist, William Crafts (1787-1826). Crafts was a Harvard University graduate who served in both houses of the South Carolina General Assembly. The current building was built in 1880's and  converted to condos in the mid 1980's.
