DOG OWNERS' RESOURCE
Where to take Fido?

Bee Street Lofts and The Bristol are pet friendly buildings close to parks and pet supply stores. From Bee Street go around the corner and across US17 - the Crosstown, The Bristol and Brittlebank Park will be on your left bordering the Ashley River. Brittlebank is a ten-acre park located between Lockwood Boulevard and the Ashley River in Charleston, South Carolina, the Westside neighborhood. Just to the North is the minor league baseball stadium, the Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park “the Joe”, and across the street from the Bristol is the full service Marriott and new WestEdge development with the Publix grocery and other amenities.
Filled with paved paths, a playground, and a long pier, Brittlebank Park is dog friendly with an off-leash area at the far end of the park near the baseball stadium. Doggie bags and receptacles are available at this location as well, along with water spigots if your dog is thirsty. From here it is a short walk to Hampton Park, the largest park in the city. Hampton has a very European feel to the way the park is laid out, and how it accommodates weddings, duck watching, and other activities. If you are a biker as well, head here on Saturdays when the roads are closed to traffic. The perimeter of Hampton Park is a 1 mile loop and water fountains located within the park.
