Free Public Transportation in Charleston: DASH Trolley

When you can't walk or in a rush, tired, or it’s just too far away, there is free public transportation in Charleston: the DASH Trolley.

The CARTA bus system operates a free trolley through the historic Charleston peninsula.

Route 213 (Purple) connects Brittlebank Park and Riley Stadium to historic city center. This route is at your front door!

From this route you can jump onto one of two other free shuttles from the Visitor Center, Marion Park or the Charleston Museum.

Route 210 (Orange) drives from College of Charleston to the Aquarium.

Route 211 (Green) goes to the waterfront, Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, and City Market

Wait at an official CARTA bus stop, denoted by the green signs. Signal to the driver that you’d like him to pick you up and you’re on your way.
